Portuguese dancer and choreographer working on the tension between choreography, sonority and relational space
Bright Horses
Bright Horses is a piece for 6 performers — 3 sets of twin siblings — that uses internal and family dynamics to critically reflect on competition in today's capitalist society. Bringing real-life experience to the stage through its cast, 3 choreographic dialogues are developed between siblings who position themselves in territories of dispute, aggression, mourning, farewell, affection, illustrating the complexity of family relationships as microcosms of wider social dynamics. Using intimacy as a method of resistance, Bright Horses aims to invert the logic of competition in today's society.
